<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 2438</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210722">July 22, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S373">Mr. Cassidy</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To modify the boundary of the Cane River Creole National Historical Park in the State of Louisiana, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Cane River Creole National Historical Park Boundary Modification Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id91F73AD3963A464D811A7AEBB2D70892"><enum>2.</enum><header>Cane River Creole National Historical Park boundary modification</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 303(b) of the Cane River Creole National Historical Park and National Heritage Area Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/410ccc-1">16 U.S.C. 410ccc–1(b)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8CB0354BF8524B3EA3AF86A073BFB7FE"><paragraph id="id1BF06DF363654C8A90B1BE5AB5393B25"><enum>(5)</enum><text>The approximately 46.1 acres of land depicted as tracts 1, 2, and 3 on the map entitled <quote>A Map of Lands in Sections 111, 112 &amp; 113, T7N–R6W</quote> and dated May 20, 2021 (referred to in this paragraph as the <quote>Map</quote>), subject to the requirement that, as soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this paragraph, the Secretary shall prepare a map of the tracts consistent with National Park Service standards to replace the Map.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
