<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 2337</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210714">July 14, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S348">Mr. Paul</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="S397">Mr. Braun</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S374">Mr. Cotton</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S411">Mr. Marshall</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S318">Mr. Wicker</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S396">Mrs. Blackburn</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSHR00">Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To prohibit the imposition of mask mandates on public transportation.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="id19085B7F18A74CDEB0851FC620462839"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on certain mask mandates</header><subsection id="idC3DD4B67B60F4A6E9553E42247214B4E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no Federal agency shall impose any Federal requirement related to COVID–19 that an individual wear a face mask when utilizing any conveyance (as defined in section 70.1 of title 42, Code of Federal Regulations, or any successor regulation) or transportation hub.</text></subsection><subsection id="id1C60531AD7A647828D13B8D19BA34290"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation on existing orders</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective on the date of enactment of this Act, the order issued on January 29, 2021, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/264">42 U.S.C. 264</external-xref>) establishing a requirement for persons to wear masks while on conveyances and at transportation hubs, as well as any other related order, directive, and emergency amendment of the Transportation Security Administration (including those described in EA 1546–21–01A, SD 1542–21–01A, SD 1544–21–02A, SD 1582–84–21–01A, EA 1546–21–01, SD 1542–21–01, SD 1544–21–02, and SD 1582/84–21–01) shall have no force or effect. </text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
