which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSHR00">Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize the program of payments to teaching health centers that operate graduate medical education programs.</official-title></form><legis-body style="OLC" display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" id="HC520CBAC21E7450F830EB5E02AEB4AF1"><section section-type="section-one" id="H7C6F175BDE6741CBA8BA684C6FF51369"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Doctors of Community Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>DOC Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" id="id65B782F3CBC1468ABF0AB105717FE067"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of program of payments to teaching health centers that operate graduate medical education programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 340H(g) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/256H">42 U.S.C. 256H(g)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H77A1FC3963EB47148F43FA2D7B0E1262"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by amending paragraph (1) to read as follows:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9D73381F11F24EEE8D3709CBED48F0A8"><paragraph id="HFC1906CB1534478B999D384D2B28E309"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To carry out this section, there are appropriated, to remain available until expended, such sums as may be necessary, not to exceed—</text><subparagraph id="HD222B9D7108B45CE8ABC5C979EC0B462"><enum>(A)</enum><text>$230,000,000, for the period of fiscal years 2011 through 2015;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFA3A9E6A80404D6686C424EAE993DCF5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>$60,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2016 and 2017;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5EF3AC316A9D45F98547239255104F5A"><enum>(C)</enum><text>$126,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2023;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H957E0FA5860048859AD4AD0E976AA02D"><enum>(D)</enum><text>$554,400,000 for fiscal year 2024;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H67554F6039604EB19A001987D2627939"><enum>(E)</enum><text>$571,200,000 for fiscal year 2025;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HAF084788A5AC4505871BD2BBCAE9FD85"><enum>(F)</enum><text>$588,000,000 for fiscal year 2026;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE641FC6A9100437FA95FF225574BC5F1"><enum>(G)</enum><text>$604,800,000 for fiscal year 2027;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H42C54F2E0CF94274AEA9A7853ABAD4DB"><enum>(H)</enum><text>$621,600,000 for fiscal year 2028;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5D6BE34C530C4D5F897A20D05A14FB42"><enum>(I)</enum><text>$638,400,000 for fiscal year 2029;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDA6E62716DF84667AD0D1EDE97C92160"><enum>(J)</enum><text>$655,200,000 for fiscal year 2030;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H8E6018EB17354A70B936BAFDD070D750"><enum>(K)</enum><text>$672,000,000 for fiscal year 2031;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H15E32924C8F34FEB87BE241C595F62BC"><enum>(L)</enum><text>$688,800,000 for fiscal year 2032; </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H77D0C54F501F4438BE04976BC90F5686"><enum>(M)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">$729,200,000 for fiscal year 2033; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H096255830B6B433CAF5ED6E7CB2E50C3"><enum>(N)</enum><text>for fiscal year 2034 and each fiscal year thereafter, the dollar amount applicable under this paragraph for the preceding fiscal year, adjusted in accordance with paragraph (3).</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph><paragraph id="HCC0DFE3B30274CE4B76130582FE45F71"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following: </text><quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2E8FB0CB84044CDE83970F5F73A52585"><paragraph id="H8038F45204C1442A9D11EA41CC574B75"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Adjustment for inflation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of paragraph (1)(N), the dollar amount applicable under paragraph (1) for fiscal years beginning after fiscal year 2033 shall be equal to the dollar amount applicable for the preceding fiscal year, increased by the percentage increase in the medical care component of the consumer price index for all urban consumers (U.S. city average), as such percentage increase is estimated by the Secretary for the 12-month period ending with March of the previous year.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
