<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 1905</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210527">May 27, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S404">Mr. Scott of Florida</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSCM00">Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To prohibit the Transportation Security Administration from asking passengers on domestic flights for information regarding vaccinations.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Freedom To Fly Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section section-type="subsequent-section" id="id8BA3E19C3E2742F2B84EF95FC27E14E1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on requesting vaccination information from passengers on domestic flights</header><subsection id="id7543D5211CEF4638B5D30DF909A2E302"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Homeland Security and the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration may not prescribe or implement any regulation or policy that would allow employees of the Transportation Security Administration to request information relating to vaccinations from any passenger traveling on a flight between States or territories or possessions of the United States.</text></subsection><subsection id="id7A24F35CF6074AEFA506D623C21BEF2B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Rule of construction</header><text>Subsection (a) does not limit the authority of the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to issue guidance or prescribe regulations relating to public health.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
