<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 1556</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210511">May 11, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S380">Mr. Peters</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSCM00">Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To require a report on the feasibility and benefits of establishing a supply chain center of excellence. </official-title></form><legis-body><section id="id54FF57117CF44F8C843100C63A2B2B01" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Supply chain center of excellence</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (referred to in this section as <quote>NASA</quote>) shall submit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the House of Representatives a report on the feasibility and benefits of establishing a supply chain center of excellence in a State in which NASA does not, as of the date of the enactment of this Act, have a research center or test facility. </text></section></legis-body></bill>
