<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 1526</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210429">April 29, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S346">Mr. Lee</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSEG00">Committee on Energy and Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To authorize the use of off-highway vehicles in certain areas of the Capitol Reef National Park, Utah.</official-title></form><legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause"><section section-type="section-one" id="id460D7EF5419F43E0BA0623D08A70A00D"><enum>1.</enum><header>Use of off-highway vehicles in certain areas of the Capitol Reef National Park, Utah</header><subsection id="id79895e8fd2f442fdaeee20cbe62e0350"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text><paragraph id="id516E7ED7211841A28D33DA8CD38E3C09"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Covered road</header><text>The term <quote>covered road</quote> means the portions of each of Burr Trail Road, Cathedral Road, Hartnet Road, Highway 24, Notom Bullfrog Road, Polk Creek Road, Oil Ranch Road, and Baker Ranch Road that are located within the boundaries of the Capitol Reef National Park in the State. </text></paragraph><paragraph id="idA22C6D54D36348D28EAC69BD71D1C811"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Off-highway vehicle</header><text>The term <quote>off-highway vehicle</quote> has the meaning given the term in State law.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idA042C58FC85C4F7880D9901CCE3949B8"><enum>(3)</enum><header>State</header><text>The term <quote>State</quote> means the State of Utah.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idFC766EA97A0844BA994FA2BF46B6FE05"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicable law</header><text>State law shall apply to the use of motor vehicles (including off-highway vehicles) on a covered road.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
