<distribution-code display="yes">II</distribution-code><congress>117th CONGRESS</congress><session>1st Session</session><legis-num>S. 1433</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20210428">April 28, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="S346">Mr. Lee</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="S303">Mr. Thune</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S396">Mrs. Blackburn</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSAS00">Committee on Armed Services</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To provide for the crediting of funds received by the National Guard Bureau as reimbursement from States.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Guarding Readiness Resources Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="idEA383308523C47778171F27566D95ED5"><enum>2.</enum><header>Treatment of funds received by National Guard Bureau as reimbursement from States</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 710 of title 32, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text><quoted-block id="idD1093027315E40A18A291906F2B3B4D3" style="OLC" act-name=""><subsection id="id3618665189DB4A9FB3A3DC986F5EB466"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Treatment of reimbursed funds</header><text>Any funds received by the National Guard Bureau from a State, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, or the Virgin Islands as reimbursement under this section for the use of military property shall be credited to—</text><paragraph id="id34aa597813004faeb89a48d2f3d55f30"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the appropriation, fund, or account used in incurring the obligation; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id9ad3986015194c0fb46232d4ff5e2b81"><enum>(2)</enum><text>an appropriate appropriation, fund, or account currently available for the purposes for which the expenditures were made.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
