McHugh Tuition Fairness for Survivors Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H194259432D24407280371240AC354676"><enum>2.</enum><header>Department of Veterans Affairs disapproval of courses offered by public institutions of higher learning that do not charge veterans the in-State tuition rate for purposes of Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program</header><subsection id="H1104A4A4B36E4A40A9F5991D10A4897F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3679(c) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="HFFA8D33285B24FFCA9AC2318B98B47B2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>or 33</quote> and inserting <quote>33, or 35</quote>;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HD8D7D3A825AF463595B733D2C46E4BCF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text><quoted-block style="USC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA2C5577E46FF4409B018E9441CC50FCF"><subparagraph id="HAC07BB335F2145A688E149544BD17ECD" indent="up1"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An individual who is entitled to assistance under section 3510 of this title.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" id="HA4DBAA74349544879F00CDE7BB96DF5E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (6), by striking <quote>and 33</quote> and inserting <quote>33, and 35</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H7A399548A46447418F6331BBF64C1B10"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendments</header><text>Section 3679(e) of such title is amended—</text><paragraph id="H16AF952B7B944C24B788685D84AAA490"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)—</text><subparagraph id="HA44676C23C6F4F909F693FB818CDF6A5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>or 33</quote> and inserting <quote>, 33, or 35</quote>; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H67499732915B464CA416BA4A9E928029"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>or 33</quote> and inserting <quote>33, or 35</quote>; and </text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H7C0D1A42D2144E4591F94F5E1DD495B7"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>or 33</quote> and inserting <quote>33, or 35</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H42B8226968B84819B5E73F70F463473B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this Act shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply with respect to an academic period that begins on or after August 1, 2022.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
