Tucker;</text></paragraph></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas Giannis Antetokounmpo, for the first time, was named the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals, in which he—</text><paragraph id="HAD789DD6C84841CC8BA1A4F875CB4ECB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HD6489AA496994BD0A47799F79F52072E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>shot 61.8 percent from the field per game;</text></paragraph></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas in the championship-clinching Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Giannis Antetokounmpo—</text><paragraph id="HFE887F21B27C4335AE7A545FC69B8993"><enum>(1)</enum><text>scored 50 points, shooting 64 percent from the field and making 17 of 19 free throws;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H15F0C7EC5EF7465CBA9AF5CEA0DFB956"><enum>(2)</enum><text>had 14 rebounds; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HAE8AD13684D24E209721675A41A1EA77"><enum>(3)</enum><text>blocked 5 shots;</text></paragraph></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas Bucks forward Khris Middleton, the first NBA player to begin his career in the Development League and subsequently become an NBA All-Star, which Middleton became in the 2018–2019 season, had an impactful performance throughout the NBA Finals, including a crucial mid-range shot with 1 minute remaining in Game 6;</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas the Bucks won their first NBA championship in 50 years, when NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson brought a title to Milwaukee in 1971;</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas the Bucks, who won the 2021 NBA championship in 6 games, fulfilled the prophecy of Bucks legend Brandon Jennings, who, in 2013, began the <quote>Bucks in 6</quote> rallying cry; and</text></whereas><whereas><text>Whereas the fans in the Deer District showed up, game after game, to cheer on the Bucks in large numbers outside Fiserv Forum: Now, therefore, be it</text></whereas></preamble><resolution-body style="traditional" id="HBA177BC7BB874200B594BFF6656B2C47"><section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="H56AADA6DA72243B68D06621136596CEA"><enum/><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That the House of Representatives—</text><paragraph id="H5038F9E696764DCEB9E0E0B5E6AA6398"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">congratulates the Milwaukee Bucks (referred to in this resolution as the <quote>Bucks</quote>), and the loyal fans of the Bucks, on winning the 2021 National Basketball Association championship;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HD86576115FB144CF893CA6CA37EE1ACC"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">recognizes the historic achievement of the entire Bucks organization, including the players, coaches, and staff, for a victorious season; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H71E33C849F1C48B2B65E0F5EC312436C"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an enrolled copy of this resolution to—</text><subparagraph id="HA425B3994B2E4153A09BFFEA6134D345"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the head coach of the Bucks, Mike Budenholzer, and the 2020–2021 Bucks team;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H06E74E824F174BFEA2FB098502594887"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the mayor of the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Common Council; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6AE4D527107F48CE958E6626312CEC11"><enum>(C)</enum><text>the executive of Milwaukee County.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section></resolution-body></resolution>
