Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions first convened at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in the city of Chicago, Illinois; Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions is returning to the city of Chicago in 2023 to celebrate its 130th anniversary; Whereas the Parliament of the World’s Religions serves as the world’s premier interfaith convening organization; and Whereas religious communities living in harmony contribute to a better world: Now, therefore, be it

That the House of Representatives— (1)supports the Parliament of the World’s Religions and wishes it continued success in promoting interfaith conversations and interactions; and (2)recognizes the vital role that interfaith conversations have in promoting a just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
