Davis of Illinois</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HWM00">Committee on Ways and Means</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To support the ability of kinship caregivers to provide safety and stability for the children placed in their homes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HC8B2D3A553194EFAB2BB8B2EFA9C4F2F" style="OLC"><section id="HFE63B97FAF36469B8B97B3FCB2C6FAF6" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Fostering Secure Family Partnerships Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H26EBCAFF554B43B2ACC83996E6FAD53D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase in Federal financial support for kinship navigator programs</header><subsection id="HF775EB6B45FA46A6B000BE725B7B16A0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 474(a)(7) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/674">42 U.S.C. 674(a)(7)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>50</quote> and inserting <quote>75</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H6C1F5CEA836B443488F7DFA9C67E27D6"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on October 1, 2023, and shall apply to payments under part E of title IV of the Social Security Act for calendar quarters beginning on or after such date.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
