Ensuring nursing facilities report information on medical directors of such facilities

Section 1124(c) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1320a–3(c)) is amended—(1)in paragraph (3), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:(C)

Updated regulations

Not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this subparagraph, the Secretary shall revise the regulations promulgated pursuant to subparagraph (A) to require, effective on the date that is 90 days after the date on which such revised regulations are published in the Federal Register, a facility to include in reports required under this section the information described in paragraph (2)(A)(ii)(II) with respect to managing employees who are medical directors of such facility. Beginning 6 months after such revised regulations are so published, the Secretary shall make such information so reported with respect to medical directors of a facility publicly available on the Nursing Home Compare website under section 1819(i) (or a successor website).; and(2)in paragraph (5)(C), by inserting and shall include a medical director of such facility before the period at the end.
