Doss Border Patrol Station</quote>.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7CA1BE4B1E3248DDA852B7FD6F5515C6" style="OLC"><section id="H03EE5B938ADB4EA2B33E45C7C4B01096" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Donna M. Doss Memorial Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H2809CFE23EB340649C57730805ABB143"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds the following:</text><paragraph id="H9413EFC5A0274BF7A7CE4E381BDFB9F9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>A native of the State of Washington, Agent Donna Marie Doss—</text><subparagraph id="H9A12CF44CBB04A6AAC1E4E5662A095E7"><enum>(A)</enum><text>proudly and honorably served her country as an Agent of the U.S. Border Patrol for more than 15 years;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0E19EBC6D8644C4F8FE1A6AD93E82162"><enum>(B)</enum><text>began her service with the U.S. Border Patrol in 2003; and </text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H2046EAD481AF43ADB05F5009C02CAD91"><enum>(C)</enum><text>graduated as part of the 569th Session of the Border Patrol Academy with Class 584 on June 6, 2005.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H7BE707E2727A4FBAA539A38D7F68E567"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Agent Doss—</text><subparagraph id="H806E0AF76DDC4CBA9BF5F0351A0781BF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>served on a Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force on the southern border for 3 years before being assigned to the northern border;</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA46122C33FED47F0A03F7D1E4F495AF1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in Laredo Border Patrol Sector, where she was named an Operations Officer in 2016; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HBBAAF86BF5C44E9AA6C86F0254361E77"><enum>(C)</enum><text>relocated to Abilene, Texas in 2017, where she served as a Resident Agent.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H47EF1431424C46B1A91F1B3FD86D0EA4"><enum>(3)</enum><text>On February 2, 2019, Agent Doss responded to a call for assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety near Interstate 20 in Tye, Texas. While on scene, Agent Doss was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H94536B6DB968423EA7ED74AC482987C8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Agent Doss is survived by her husband, father, mother, 2 step-children, a sister and a brother.</text></paragraph></section><section id="H7C600177BA9745F7BB7CD0AFD34A8792"><enum>3.</enum><header>Designation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Rocksprings station of the U.S. Border Patrol located on West Main Street in Rocksprings, Texas, shall be known and designated as the <quote>Donna M. Doss Border Patrol Station</quote>.</text></section><section id="H3404D49A86F44D0E85AC670DB96D059C"><enum>4.</enum><header>References</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the station described in section 3 shall be deemed to be a reference to the <quote>Donna M. Doss Border Patrol Station</quote>.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
