Short title

This Act may be cited as the Planes Not Panels Act.

Limitation on presidential action

Section 303(a) of the Defense Production Act of 1950 (50 U.S.C. 4533(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following:(8)

Solar panels

(A)

In general

The President may not use any authority under this section to make provision for purchases of or commitments to purchase solar panels.(B)

Solar panel defined

In this paragraph, the term solar panel means a crystalline silicon photovoltaic cell or module..
