<section id="H5D62062A5292498CB8F5677487D7DC3C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Formula Act of 2022</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="HCCA7AA68B19F4146B44C1304B8C23E01"><enum>2.</enum><header>Internationally recognized standards for infant formula</header> <subsection id="H641B1A3832EB48B4907FAC6F19724DB1"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, shall work through the Codex process to review and update internationally recognized standards for infant formula to ensure that such standards are consistent with the requirements applicable to the importation of infant formula into the United States. </text> </subsection> 
<subsection id="HA8B8F70846FB4B0F9E1FB51510BE47ED"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <term>infant formula</term> has the meaning given to such term in section 201 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/321">21 U.S.C. 321</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section> </legis-body></bill>
