Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/2302">20 U.S.C. 2302</external-xref>).</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="H871FEAA613674E81BDF5D9223185D0EA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Small business development centers</header><text>Section 21(c)(3) of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/648">15 U.S.C. 648(c)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H2DA0B942C93F44E2A8C4A8C381B69889"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (T), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H21B6617547244B858E40204ECAB4C0B9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (v) of the first subparagraph (U) (relating to succession planning), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDC705E385979438897013E10FBAFEC93"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in second subparagraph (U) (relating to training on domestic and international intellectual property protections)—</text><subparagraph id="H7B106021AC4F4D2699A2FB5A0AF03A99"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in clause (ii)(II), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HEC6F253C9EE54088B3BF3F2BE4650DFA"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by redesignating such subparagraph as subparagraph (V); and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HE3EB09FD4CC54F6E9EE5202371988079"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subparagraphs:</text><quoted-block id="H0683A2668F604B2B9123D3D251B96584" style="OLC"><subparagraph id="H56A508EDD341450E87F48CB12E90CF93"><enum>(W)</enum><text>assisting small businesses in hiring graduates from career and technical education programs or programs of study; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H31074B521E42447FAF78D191B54298B0"><enum>(X)</enum><text>assisting graduates of career and technical education programs or programs of study in starting up a small business concern.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H0189C82D44504D9AB2713DF086C6A052"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Women’s business centers</header><text>Section 29(b) of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/656">15 U.S.C. 656(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H577C7550C877451E981D63479F9EF86B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H87D09B1BCC82463E9BE7C4833953A1DE"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HFF220A8BB3F649C59B540B6C397BAC72"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraphs:</text><quoted-block id="H209D43F532E84EEA94F663E0D08D16B5" style="OLC"><paragraph id="H1641CB65F3CE46FF87D790FD87FFC125"><enum>(4)</enum><text>assistance for small business concerns to hire graduates from career and technical education programs or programs of study; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H95C58A516FA24F9E95047CCCF0E975EA"><enum>(5)</enum><text>assistance for graduates of career and technical education programs or programs of study to start up a small business concern.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><endorsement><action-date date="20220517">May 17, 2022</action-date><action-desc>Committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
