R. 7248</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220328">March 28, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="J000302">Mr. Joyce of Pennsylvania</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="S001168">Mr. Sarbanes</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000593">Mr. Gimenez</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="U000040">Ms. Underwood</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title V of the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize certain mental health programs for children, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HFD0163825A624A029D04A0446434570B" style="OLC"><section id="H81D0DE7700B6414FBE0A3BD83B392030" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Continuing Systems of Care for Children Act</short-title></quote> .</text></section><section id="H535972B333D4475B83D5938C20FD6EEA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 565(f)(1) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/290ff-4">42 U.S.C. 290ff–4(f)(4)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>$119,026,000 for each of fiscal years 2018 through 2022</quote> and inserting <quote>$125,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027</quote>.</text></section><section id="HC87CD59E6A3A4FA6B0C10AECF1B325DE"><enum>3.</enum><header>Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Early Intervention Services for Children and Adolescents</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 514 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/290bb-7">42 U.S.C. 290bb–7</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="HABEF093D6B8E46B184D34FC3D1A0CF2F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a), by striking <quote>Indian tribes or tribal organizations</quote> and inserting <quote>Indian Tribes or Tribal organizations</quote>; and </text></paragraph><paragraph id="H8221D743147A4F60981842DDCF981146"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (f), by striking <quote>2018 through 2022</quote> and inserting <quote>2023 through 2027</quote>.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
