R. 7127</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220317">March 17, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="H001053">Mrs. Hartzler</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="C001126">Mr. Carey</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001211">Mrs. Miller of Illinois</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000565">Mr. Gosar</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000599">Mr. Posey</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000165">Mr. Tiffany</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001120">Mr. Crenshaw</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B000668">Mr. Bentz</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000190">Mr. Norman</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001199">Mr. Mast</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000595">Mr. Good of Virginia</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001180">Mr. McKinley</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="W000814">Mr. Weber of Texas</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HED00">Committee on Education and Labor</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Occupational Safety and Health Act to prohibit the Secretary from enforcing any drug or vaccine mandate, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HE66F01F26105420CB94572FDECFDCA77" style="OLC"><section id="H3F90A17F65E24BBFA872CF4950DA39E4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>No OSHA Authority to Mandate Vaccines Act </short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H5DE1771624414D01AD83A2F7269AF260"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on drug and vaccine mandates</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4(b) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/29/653">29 U.S.C. 653(b)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H8EEC6AE53DCC44618D6C158CA90CF0B2" display-inline="no-display-inline"><paragraph id="H54A3961BA0F94F1083FF91F1B8C048E0"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing in this Act shall be construed to provide the Secretary with the authority to require any drug (as defined in section 201(g)(1) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act) or vaccine or other biological product (as defined in section 351(i)(1) of the Public Health Service Act) to be administered to any employee.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
