R. 6653</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220209">February 9, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="V000134">Ms. Van Duyne</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="L000569">Mr. Luetkemeyer</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000605">Mr. Perry</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="G000552">Mr. Gohmert</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HSM00">Committee on Small Business</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To prohibit participation of persons convicted of certain felonies in programs of the Small Business Administration, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HB198201BB60545D9AE7DE5E6C37A4B30" style="OLC"><section id="HFC5C905704B64E47A59EC7DC1B834967" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Stop Funding Rioters Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HD275225235194D67B650095019FD2E04" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Persons convicted of certain felonies ineligible for Small Business Administration assistance</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">No person convicted of an offense relating to a misdemeanor or felony assault of a law enforcement officer, or convicted of a felony for actions during or in connection with a riot that resulted in the destruction of a small business concern (as defined in section 3 of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/632">15 U.S.C. 632</external-xref>)), shall be eligible to receive any assistance from or through, or participate in, any program administered by the Small Business Administration.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
