Short title

This Act may be cited as the NYCHA Accountability Act of 2022.

Report to the Congress on New York City Housing Authority

Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development shall submit to the Congress a report that contains—(1)an analysis of health and safety conditions with respect to dwelling units owned or administered by the New York City Housing Authority;(2)an analysis of the New York City Housing Authority’s compliance with Federal, State, and local housing regulations;(3)an audit of the Federal funds received by the New York City Housing Authority during fiscal years 2014 through 2022; and(4)additional findings and recommendations of the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
