R. 6356</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220106">January 6, 2022</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="B001313">Ms. Brown of Ohio</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="A000376">Mr. Allred</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="J000295">Mr. Joyce of Ohio</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="G000588">Mr. Gonzalez of Ohio</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill</action-desc></action><action display="yes"><action-date date="20220110">January 10, 2022</action-date><action-desc> Referred to the Committee on Veterans Affairs, and in addition to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, for a period to be subsequently determinedly by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To require the Administrator of General Services to issue regulations allowing the leasing of certain space for preventive health fitness programs, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HB0037B45218742849F4518F9F795C5E2" style="OLC"><section id="H573F60F45BAE4B7CA8BA4D8281CC6036" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>More Opportunities for Veterans to Exercise Act</short-title></quote> or <quote><short-title>MOVE Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H62E191BAFB034031BE65E1B9D419CE5D" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Regulations for VA health fitness programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 60 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of General Services shall amend section 102–73.225 of title 41, Code of Federal Regulations, to provide that the Department of Veterans Affairs is delegated authority to lease, as a type of special purpose space, space for preventive health fitness programs and preventive health fitness counseling for the purpose of improving healthcare outcomes (including weight management) for veterans.</text></section><section id="H0BB9AFEEB6AE4821B8258247AE570D39"><enum>3.</enum><header>Preventive health services</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1701(9) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="HB0AE80C435BD40ECA222CB1B5EB62465"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (K) by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HAEB6BB3B05844FD9A4ACFFA5EF71FE55"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (L) by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H11E36051066F4FF9818496B6E667D35B"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="USC" id="HCEFA24D04CB64D8BB7D1A5B2433463B6" display-inline="no-display-inline"><paragraph id="H1210B28189DB4442A10B67C18F96EB0F"><enum>(M)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">weight management services and physical activity programming for the purpose of improving physical and mental health; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H230DB84753854D1DB6141D0A8E93046D"><enum>(N)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">physical activity counseling.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
