Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Veterans Health Flexibility Act''. SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF ELIGIBILITY FOR NON-DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CARE UNDER VETERANS COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM. Section 1703 of title 38, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking subsection (d) and inserting the following new subsection (d): ``(d) Conditions Under Which Care Is Required To Be Furnished Through Non-Department Providers.--Subject to the availability of appropriations, the Secretary shall furnish hospital care, medical services, or extended care services to a covered veteran through health care providers specified in subsection (c), if the covered veteran notifies the Secretary that the veteran desires to receive care through the Veterans Community Care Program.''; (2) by striking subsection (e); (3) by redesignating subsections (f) through (o) as subsections (e) through (n), respectively; (4) in subsection (e), as so redesignated by striking ``or (e)''; and (5) in subsection (l)(2), as so redesignated-- (A) in subparagraph (A), by striking ``subsection (i)'' and inserting ``subsection (h)''; (B) by striking subparagraph (B); and (C) by redesignating subparagraphs (C) and (D) as subparagraphs (B) and (C), respectively. <all>
