R. 5680</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20211022">October 22, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="P000605">Mr. Perry</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="M001184">Mr. Massie</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="K000376">Mr. Kelly of Pennsylvania</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000165">Mr. Tiffany</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="H001052">Mr. Harris</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="J000302">Mr. Joyce of Pennsylvania</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001199">Mr. Smucker</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="W000812">Mrs. Wagner</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="M001199">Mr. Mast</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HAG00">Committee on Agriculture</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To repeal the sugar program under the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 and certain other programs relating to sugar, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H468240F6A8B542C9A75D7505D88D0522" style="OLC"><section id="H92BB07374198428B860708E76B8D62AE" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Saving Workers by Eliminating Economic Tampering and Ensuring Reliability Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>SWEETER Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H739B9BFB0CFE42E3A49BED73A3591BB3" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of sugar program</header><subsection id="H2498523C1E7B47139758FB588579BBAE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 156 of the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/7272">7 U.S.C. 7272</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></subsection><subsection id="H2E2234AF4D7D4415BEFDAC7B1808FD2B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Flexible marketing allotments for sugar and tariff rate quotas</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Part VII of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/1359aa">7 U.S.C. 1359aa et seq.</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></subsection><subsection id="HD4C7C95B4CBE472286110ED639852143"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Feedstock flexibility program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 9010 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/8110">7 U.S.C. 8110</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
