which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HSY00">Committee on Science, Space, and Technology</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 to establish a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Working Group, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H721C1C2C757649B1A9E17A54BE23A943" style="OLC"><section id="H6FC331420A534AC49996B45AA9D656F8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Biojet Fuel Research Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H07F2568BDA334E61AC04728C675094DB" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Sustainable Aviation Fuel Working Group</header><subsection id="HE941B44309284755B885E4607B462C55"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title IX of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/95">Public Law 112–95</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="HE7C27F421AE946ED85EB82AB833BBB73" display-inline="no-display-inline"><section id="HEAC74C99E1944D3AA43D0D53C83C7CEF"><enum>920.</enum><header>Sustainable Aviation Fuel Working Group</header><subsection id="HD861A69F7952476F8F2D70A72816E658"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Administration of the Federal Aviation Administration shall establish a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Working Group, in this section referred to as the <quote>Working Group</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="H216359C66B164B958A3CEDBF1CD944BB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Membership</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In establishing the Working Group, the Administrator shall appoint members representing the following:</text><paragraph id="HE584C288F67143958FEAF8250A950C48"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The Bioenergy Technologies Office of the Department of Energy.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H298E9DDA88314E569B1934B3C682175C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The Department of Agriculture.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HCA84AABB345A423395E37C125E19D539"><enum>(3)</enum><text>The commercial aviation alternative fuels initiative.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H6D16FAC700DA40D081ED33C78672BC37"><enum>(4)</enum><text>The Federal Aviation Administration.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H8ED177A3BFC7455CBA309034F4E2F566"><enum>(5)</enum><text>The national labs.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HE99E6A4D751E4152841B7700C101F0C9"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">At least 4 current or future sustainable aviation fuel producers representing 4 of the currently approved ASTM D7566 sustainable aviation fuel production pathways.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HCAAC05CD2C4E4C5EB1F0569165621B8A"><enum>(7)</enum><text>A biorefinery.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HF535D884BDF7467FB57BF4D9B2B2FDC6"><enum>(8)</enum><text>An engine original equipment manufacturer.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H984E294C46B146D487349B4D83EA3545"><enum>(9)</enum><text>Agriculture research universities.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H31B57E3144494F328A58328525921AE5"><enum>(10)</enum><text>Canada.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H198850E470304911B2CD07675E2EB0B7"><enum>(11)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Mexico.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HD8EC67F69B6C47A0828B355B4CB338BA"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this section, the Working Group shall submit to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report that identifies the research and development needs for each partner and cross-fertilization program across Federal agencies necessary for cost-competitive and equivalent safety compared to petroleum-based jet fuel, while offering improved sustainability and energy supply security for aviation. </text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection><subsection id="HAA91978752D648C5B64E4DBC5BA152EB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of contents in section 1(b) of such Act is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 919 the following: </text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="HEEC20A0D8E7647FB9D5310A4AA476000" display-inline="no-display-inline"><toc regeneration="no-regeneration"><toc-entry level="section">Sec. 920.
