Short title

This Act may be cited as the Enhancing the Community Health Workforce Act.

Reauthorization of grants to promote positive health behaviors and outcomes

Section 399V(j) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280g–11(j)) is amended to read as follows:(j)

Funding

(1)

Authorization of appropriations

There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $50,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027.(2)

Reduction in awards for certain entities

The Secretary shall reduce the amount of any grant awarded under this section on or after October 1, 2022, to an eligible entity by the amount of any assistance awarded to the same eligible entity for the same or a similar purpose pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act (Public Law 117–2). .
