R. 5590</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20211015">October 15, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="H001086">Mrs. Harshbarger</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="W000806">Mr. Webster of Florida</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001211">Mrs. Miller of Illinois</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000599">Mr. Posey</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001274">Mr. Brooks</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001311">Mr. Bishop of North Carolina</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="V000133">Mr. Van Drew</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001104">Mr. Cawthorn</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001215">Mrs. Miller-Meeks</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001192">Mr. Stewart</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="R000614">Mr. Roy</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HGO00">Committee on Oversight and Reform</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To require Federal agencies to acknowledge, accept, and agree to truthfully present, natural immunity pertaining to COVID–19 pursuant to promulgating certain regulations.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HFDC70D840BEA45F3B252C763744213FD" style="OLC"><section id="HC6A7486517D84F9D9C842065A10ED1C3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Natural Immunity Is Real Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H8E7AD99F67254790A9DE0387710057CD"><enum>2.</enum><header>Natural immunity to COVID–19</header><subsection id="H31D24F8D957F4DDD980A5B7A7141ED92"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Pursuant to any regulation promulgated by a Federal agency and related to the public health emergency declared by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/247d">42 U.S.C. 247d</external-xref>) with respect to COVID–19, the applicable agency shall acknowledge, accept, agree to truthfully present, and incorporate, the consideration of natural immunity as it pertains to COVID–19 with respect to the individuals subject to the applicable regulations. </text></subsection><subsection id="H6BDB683903DD4F15B7C06D0FFB1C91AA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>For purposes of this section, the term <term>natural immunity</term> means immunity that is naturally existing.</text></subsection><subsection id="HCF8C7D2A7D9A44ABBB1444BC086453D7"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Rule of construction</header><text>Nothing in this section shall be construed to allow for, or authorize, a Federal vaccination mandate.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
