Such study shall—</text><paragraph id="HF9E4C44574A34AF79015CF47A9A4B520"><enum>(1)</enum><text>analyze how information collected through such programs informs what is known about EHDI activities to ensure that newborns, infants, and young children have access to timely hearing screenings and early interventions, including information on any disparities in such access;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H3C3C109E627B4E71B0575A90A1F9738C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>analyze what is known about how parents use State EHDI websites to seek health and programmatic guidance related to their child’s hearing loss diagnosis; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H20A193A19CD34B9790806570C74D6F66"><enum>(3)</enum><text>identify efforts and any promising practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, and State EHDI programs—</text><subparagraph id="H9B00EE2F3ACC407391773A37A4751349"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to address disparities in outreach for, or access to, timely hearing screenings and early interventions; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H93184117BC3A4892B0C83E502BD6317E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>to ensure that EHDI follow-up services are communicated and made available to medically underserved populations, including racial and ethnic minorities.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H8D66970F078847A1A92736B3C1227F40"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than two years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall—</text><paragraph id="H5DE44C9CCDAE4952ADC3E8E0CC220A2A"><enum>(1)</enum><text> complete the study under subsection (a) and submit a report on the results of the study to—</text><subparagraph id="HCD2EBCACF78C435E9B7A7E42AB3A164F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H8E463326E98540C88B6FA7BF46611CEA"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions of the Senate; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H2B312EC72D0C4D438565E090AD7F7C40"><enum>(2)</enum><text>make such report publicly available.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20211208">December 8, 2021</action-date><action-desc>Reported with an amendment, committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union, and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
