Maloney of New York</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000481">Ms. Tlaib</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B000574">Mr. Blumenauer</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001223">Mr. Bowman</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001145">Ms. Schakowsky</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001097">Mr. Cárdenas</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001300">Ms. Barragán</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000486">Mr. Torres of New York</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="O000173">Ms. Omar</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001303">Ms. Blunt Rochester</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="L000551">Ms. Lee of California</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001068">Mr. Cohen</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="K000385">Ms. Kelly of Illinois</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000192">Ms. Newman</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001159">Ms. Strickland</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="M000312">Mr. McGovern</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HED00">Committee on Education and Labor</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HGO00">Oversight and Reform</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To establish the National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7B04ACD253E0475C80D6AC3E26FF1878" style="OLC"><section id="H97CFA481C74241ADB46780FC385C36C0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Equal Pay for Equal Work Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="HCD230EB6577449E1986152D272AED17E"><enum>2.</enum><header>National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force</header><subsection id="H7A5F422F30BD4FC6A40CEF22C75FED43"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">There is established the National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force, consisting of representatives from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Justice, the Department of Labor, and the Office of Personnel Management.</text></subsection><subsection id="HC3C3AE7C0F1F4CDFBC8E600F9801EF01"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Mission</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In order to improve compliance, public education, and enforcement of equal pay laws, the National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force will ensure that the agencies in subsection (a) are coordinating efforts and limiting potential gaps in enforcement.</text></subsection><subsection id="HB70A3DB30F2742559292C1DD42E36020"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Duties</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The National Equal Pay Enforcement Task Force shall investigate challenges related to pay inequity pursuant to its mission in subsection (b), advance recommendations to address those challenges, and create action plans to implement the recommendations.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
