R. 4755</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210728">July 28, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000617">Ms. DelBene</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="W000800">Mr. Welch</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="D000615">Mr. Duncan</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HWM00">Ways and Means</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to remove cost-sharing responsibilities for chronic care management services under the Medicare program.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H576723D2810D4BCDB9657BC9CDDFB667" style="OLC"><section id="H88C226396AF14EF08D1E40A89A1ED52F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Seniors’ Chronic Care Management Improvement Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HD45755F51EF64A8387B32D5239B786DC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Removing cost-sharing responsibilities for chronic care management services under part B of the Medicare program</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1833 of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395l">42 U.S.C. 1395l</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H39154857D1AC479CAEDA567D535D3F05"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(1)—</text><subparagraph id="H98300A020F214C7288F9C4881A8E60E2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subparagraph (CC), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HC12AA191497A4EC7813A33F230D01B92"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subparagraph (DD), by inserting before the semicolon at the end the following: <quote>and (EE) with respect to chronic care management services (as described in section 1848(b)(8)) furnished on or after January 1, 2022, the amount paid shall be an amount equal to 100 percent of the lesser of the actual charge for such services or the amount determined under such section;</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H8EC676E30173470F88275E36E6E51024"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (b), in the first sentence—</text><subparagraph id="H82956D927B104B0D80AD01BA0D5C534E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (11), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H064534A1211D4E858DA11A0C4EC185B4"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (12), by inserting before the period at the end the following: <quote>, and (13) such deductible shall not apply with respect to chronic care management services (as described in section 1848(b)(8)) furnished on or after January 1, 2022</quote>. </text></subparagraph></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
