R. 452</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210125">January 25, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="C000059">Mr. Calvert</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Violence Against Women Act of 2000 to reauthorize the grant program for education, training, and enhanced services to end violence against and abuse of women with disabilities.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H5FE38BFF82A54BD994FD7B3507CB68C9" style="OLC"><section id="H18511F1EA3334983A69B1BE01A71FB56" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Certainty, Assistance, and Relief for Everyone Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>CARE Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H0635D8AF854E4BE185829928CD0BA645"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of grant program for education, training, and enhanced services to end violence against and abuse of women with disabilities</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1402 of the Violence Against Women Act of 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/34/20122">34 U.S.C. 20122</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="HD12E145DDBB74FA58AE564D189600E67"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (e), by striking <quote>2018</quote> and inserting <quote>2024</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H333428FD7F8548A1BF8766B362E169D6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1D503B9F7BA848F5A6A0B456EE318939" style="OLC"><subsection id="H125AC0CF7A78456480321B3E9D67369A"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the Certainty, Assistance, and Relief for Everyone Act, the Attorney General shall issue a report identifying and describing best practices for State, local, and tribal law enforcement officers and prosecutors in investigating and prosecuting sexual assault cases involving the victimization of individuals with disabilities.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
