technicians (dual status) as of the last day of fiscal year 2022 for the reserve components of the Army and the Air Force (notwithstanding section 129 of title 10, United States Code) shall be the following:</text><paragraph id="HBFBD26B45CC04F68B90D5E533DD2FC7C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>For the Army National Guard of the United States, 22,294.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H6D221CFB7B7045E99673022F97E5364E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>For the Army Reserve, 6,492.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H03E82F8DCBF44695B8BC9FA6DAD1B972"><enum>(3)</enum><text>For the Air National Guard of the United States, 9,885.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H8258D64E35AA491186C5104AF8DB6784"><enum>(4)</enum><text>For the Air Force Reserve, 7,111.</text></paragraph></section><section id="H87B279EC77FA4F3299CCF8B1ACD97AA7"><enum>414.</enum><header>Maximum number of reserve personnel authorized to be on active duty for operational support</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">During fiscal year 2022, the maximum number of members of the reserve components of the Armed Forces who may be serving at any time on full-time operational support duty under section 115(b) of title 10, United States Code, is the following:</text><paragraph id="H370E316149AD479F82DD7202AFA90F30"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The Army National Guard of the United States, 17,000.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H47A4FDF2D2FE46128B3D6098BBC08143"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The Army Reserve, 13,000.</text></paragraph><paragraph and Munitions Destruction, Defense</header><subsection id="H6393507BCD6D4B6C8AF485AADACBB2A4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>Funds are hereby authorized to be appropriated for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2022 for expenses, not otherwise provided for, for Chemical Agents and Munitions Destruction, Defense, in the amount of $1,094,352,000 of which—</text><paragraph id="HD899D00CB4924B4CAA2A43D79D378DA0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>$93,121,000 is for Operation and Maintenance; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H870F857FA9A144D2B60EAD166065BB03"><enum>(2)</enum><text>$1,001,231,000 is for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H788975C0A3C34B1B9C351869FEC0BE8F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Use</header><text>Amounts authorized to be appropriated under subsection (a) are authorized for—</text><paragraph id="H9452ACCF3AD141798E3DF15B02651FEB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the destruction of lethal chemical agents and munitions in accordance with section 1412 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1986 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/50/1521">50 U.S.C. 1521</external-xref>); and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HABB4190960CB4D2993D2CFB9E6C51289"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the destruction of chemical warfare materiel of the United States that is not covered by section 1412 of such Act.</text></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H5179A1751282458A95995264BE012D98"><enum>1403.</enum><header>Drug Interdiction and Counter-Drug Activities, Defense</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Funds are hereby authorized to be appropriated for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2022 for expenses, not otherwise provided for, for Drug Interdiction and Counter-Drug Activities, Defense, in the amount of $821,908,000.</text></section><section id="H274FDBDD35904E59B2572A5F31737C3F"><enum>1404.</enum><header>Defense Inspector General</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Funds are hereby authorized to be appropriated for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2022 for expenses, not otherwise provided for, for the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, in the
