R. 4253</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210630">June 30, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="G000553">Mr. Green of Texas</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To require the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to promulgate a national primary drinking water regulation for chromium-6, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H6C73AA88FDC8426D842D7CD2771C289A" style="OLC"><section id="HCFEA6ECCF7654902B70D89790CE5130C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Chromium-6 national primary drinking water regulation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall publish a maximum contaminant level goal and promulgate a national primary drinking water regulation under section 1412 of the Safe Drinking Water Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300g-1">42 U.S.C. 300g–1</external-xref>) for chromium-6, which shall include a filtration requirement.</text></section></legis-body></bill>
