<section id="H0FCDE08527F34305B25B6B63F006F84E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Additional funding for scholarships for students at <enum-in-header>1890</enum-in-header> institutions</header>
<subsection id="HBBA65D5CB4A742E2A59F98404105473E" commented="no"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Rescission</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">There is rescinded of the unobligated balance of amounts made available by section 1006 of the American Rescue Plan Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/117/2">Public Law 117–2</external-xref>), $100,000,000.</text></subsection> <subsection id="HED972DA23474460F87C6D3978AA108B0" commented="no"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Funding</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If sufficient unobligated amounts made available by section 1006 of the American Rescue Plan Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/117/2">Public Law 117–2</external-xref>) are available on the date of enactment of this Act to execute the entire rescission described in subsection (a), then on the day after the execution of the entire rescission, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Agriculture, out of amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $100,000,000, to remain available until expended, to carry out section 1446 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/3222a">7 U.S.C. 3222a</external-xref>).</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H4C40E963FEBA4A9495D54D7B2A47B179" commented="no"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Administrative funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Of the funds made available under subsection (b) to carry out section 1446 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/3222a">7 U.S.C. 3222a</external-xref>) for a fiscal year, not more than 4 percent may be used for expenses related to administering the program under such section 1446.</text></subsection> <subsection id="H442A6295F390413AA8F773A6056092FD"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Extension</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1446(b) of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/7/3222a">7 U.S.C. 3222a(b)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="H0CE36D5C7C6546E8B89BEBBBC874A16D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>each of fiscal years 2020 through 2023</quote> and inserting <quote>fiscal year 2020 and each fiscal year thereafter</quote>; and</text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H22DA8DD38D6349A7BC3789BC4B5A7426"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following: </text>

<paragraph id="HCE850852A79743EB800DE1AE7E420A5E"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Fiscal year 2024 and each fiscal year thereafter</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Of the amounts made available under section 1(b) of the Act to provide additional funding for scholarships for students at 1890 institutions, the Secretary shall make available to carry out this section $10,000,000 for fiscal year 2024 and each fiscal year thereafter.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection></section> </legis-body> </bill>
