R. 4234</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210629">June 29, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000190">Mr. Norman</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="D000615">Mr. Duncan</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001305">Mr. Budd</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001184">Mr. Massie</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000596">Mrs. Greene of Georgia</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="L000578">Mr. LaMalfa</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000578">Mr. Gaetz</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="H001082">Mr. Hern</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001291">Mr. Babin</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="W000809">Mr. Womack</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="B001274">Mr. Brooks</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="C001087">Mr. Crawford</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HHA00">Committee on House Administration</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To prohibit the removal of a statue provided by a State for display in National Statuary Hall unless two-thirds of the members of the State’s congressional delegation approve the removal, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H98178ACE66FC4209B55494454DC9C768" style="OLC"><section id="HC28E4DE190B644EC98EDBCD1E1B549ED" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Statuary Hall Collection Policy Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HCE93D7C0C67C454E960A4D747D26C886"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibiting removal of statues provided by States for display in National Statuary Hall without approval of congressional delegation of State</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 311(a)(2) of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 2001 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/2132">2 U.S.C. 2132(a)(2)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H0017308282254498B3F5433A8B59AF40"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end of subparagraph (A);</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HAD98E126C6314DD09C1BEB831A7CDD8A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking the period at the end of subparagraph (B) and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H7772C27DF95743CE9AC23199BFBC993E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H0D9344FA71DC439AB0DCDF486563256E" display-inline="no-display-inline"><subparagraph id="H56A2D7CD48AB45BF9C8D64633FCDDBD8"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the request has been approved by not fewer than <fraction>2/3</fraction> of the Members of the House of Representatives and Senators who represent the State.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
