R. 4026</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210622">June 22, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="B001248">Mr. Burgess</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="B001303">Ms. Blunt Rochester</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To require the Comptroller General of the United States to submit to Congress a report on actions taken by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to address social determinants of health.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HF642FC9966D84763987A04D58E138F82" style="OLC"><section id="H3F6ACEB42F7640B7B2B1C45F456FD073" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Social Determinants of Health Data Analysis Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HE004D6C090854EA9BA970939A297E0FC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report on actions taken by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to address social determinants of health</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit to Congress a report on actions taken by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (in this section referred to as the <quote>Secretary</quote>) to address social determinants of health. Such report shall include the following:</text><paragraph id="H34B65F714CAD4204AF3AE67F022EAA17"><enum>(1)</enum><text>An analysis of how any data collection undertaken by the Secretary in furtherance of such actions complies with Federal and State privacy laws and regulations.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H225B70B8E25147A1966745BE8B92827F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>A description of any coordination undertaken by the Secretary with other relevant Federal agencies and State and local authorities as part of such actions.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDAE624A432D84677B4AA6DDAF9E7F70E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>An identification of any potential for duplication of such actions or other barriers to such actions.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HC213A19595BC4EA6A7D1178A78D839B1"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Recommendations on how to foster private-public partnerships, as well as how best to leverage private sector efforts, to address social determinants of health.</text></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
