R. 3350</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210519">May 19, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000191">Mr. Neguse</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="M000687">Mr. Mfume</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S000168">Ms. Salazar</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="K000394">Mr. Kim of New Jersey</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="P000616">Mr. Phillips</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HSM00">Committee on Small Business</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Small Business Act to increase the governmentwide goal for the percentage of procurement contracts awarded to small business concerns, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H2CF24011A37947F89A4F556BE6805A0C" style="OLC"><section id="H4EA38E118A8147E6909DA3DCA34F6E22" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Small-business Procurement Utilization Reform Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>SPUR Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HC8484FE005B241F09202AE94AB523466"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase governmentwide small business procurement contract goal</header><subsection id="HE179CA87C42744D0BF225EFCE4397538"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 15(g)(1)(A)(i) of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/644">15 U.S.C. 644(g)(1)(A)(i)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>23</quote> and inserting <quote>25</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="HDD34373E94254FD1AD43343ACABDA459"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on October 1, 2021.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
