R. 3206</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210513">May 13, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="M001177">Mr. McClintock</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="C001054">Mr. Carl</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="L000578">Mr. LaMalfa</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C000059">Mr. Calvert</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="H001084">Ms. Herrell</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001212">Mr. Stauber</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="Y000033">Mr. Young</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HII00">Committee on Natural Resources</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HAG00">Agriculture</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to provide for a lifetime National Recreational Pass for law enforcement officers.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HAE4612AE8A2A4E289C38FB834DB05703" style="OLC"><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HED49DA017CF545E8B95F5D7A20056C35" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Law Enforcement Officer Recreation Pass Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9D8AE03AA2C5419ABD77194762A7D018" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">National recreational passes for law enforcement officers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 805(b) of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6804">16 U.S.C. 6804(b)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after paragraph (2) the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HFE478EDA5B7B4F7C944609E0816E1E22" style="OLC"><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H01ECE8A8601B4209BFD6129C77094EF2"><enum>(3)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Law enforcement officer discount</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall make the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass available, without charge and for the lifetime of the passholder, to any law enforcement officer. For the purposes of this paragraph, the term <term>law enforcement officer</term> means any officer, agent, or employee of the Federal Government, a State, a unit of local government, or an Indian Tribe, authorized by law or by a government agency to engage in or supervise the prevention, detection, or investigation of any violation of criminal law, or authorized by law to supervise sentenced criminal offenders.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
