<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HDFF473B5BF97411CAB3D28C8F06BB2D8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Repealing Existing Substandard Provisions Encouraging Conciliation with Tribes Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> <section id="HA8298E7D92F04FA3B38BE16F8A009BE9"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of certain obsolete laws relating to Indians</header> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H373DC72E9BB747A9A886E48F40175494"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2080 of the Revised Statutes (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/72">25 U.S.C. 72</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF91ADA2801DA47EE9A86CBB6E5DC66D1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2100 of the Revised Statutes (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/127">25 U.S.C. 127</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1BB9291001A24F3AAB1709B2B0E3C3F6"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2 of the Act of March 3, 1875 (18 Stat. 449, chapter 132; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/128">25 U.S.C. 128</external-xref>), is repealed.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5BBDF556311D48F29E487AD94279A2B0"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The first section of the Act of March 3, 1875 (18 Stat. 424, chapter 132; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/129">25 U.S.C. 129</external-xref>), is amended under the heading <quote><header-in-text level="appropriations-major" style="appropriations">Cheyennes and Arapahoes.</header-in-text></quote> by striking <quote>; that the Secretary of the Interior be authorized to withhold, from any tribe of Indians who may hold any captives other than Indians, any moneys due them from the United States until said captives shall be surrendered to the lawful authorities of the United States</quote>.</text></paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H13EA42287D834905B1AC5C2D915B5E4B"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2087 of the Revised Statutes (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/130">25 U.S.C. 130</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE8861909839B4BD28EE2B22ED957F2B3"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3 of the Act of March 3, 1875 (18 Stat. 449, chapter 132; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/137">25 U.S.C. 137</external-xref>), is repealed.</text></paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBAE68C4E39554B72B19312E9C451B875"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2101 of the Revised Statutes (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/138">25 U.S.C. 138</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H23EFC74196014C14A5F0E0876980051A"><enum>(8)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 7 of the Act of June 23, 1879 (21 Stat. 35, chapter 35; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/273">25 U.S.C. 273</external-xref>), is repealed.</text></paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE01CE5017B284C85B28C1B980285A36D"><enum>(9)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The first section of the Act of March 3, 1893 (27 Stat. 612, chapter 209), is amended—</text>
<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5D6F412AF9244396A570B5D5DC2B0AF9"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">under the heading <quote><header-in-text level="appropriations-major" style="appropriations">Miscellaneous Supports.</header-in-text></quote> (27 Stat. 628; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/283">25 U.S.C. 283</external-xref>), by striking the last 2 undesignated paragraphs; and</text></subparagraph> <subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H621987B75F3240519EC6895D56DB0091"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">under the heading <quote><header-in-text level="appropriations-major" style="appropriations">For Support of Schools.</header-in-text></quote> (27 Stat. 635; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/283">25 U.S.C. 283</external-xref>), by striking the second undesignated paragraph.</text></subparagraph></paragraph>
<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2B64A2F1C4F44C69939AD538BED8F577"><enum>(10)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 18 of the Act of June 30, 1913 (38 Stat. 96, chapter 4; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/285">25 U.S.C. 285</external-xref>), is amended by striking the tenth undesignated paragraph.</text></paragraph> <paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1950C95489C34339A284B0677E546370"><enum>(11)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Act of June 21, 1906 (34 Stat. 325, chapter 3504), is amended under the heading <quote><header-in-text level="appropriations-major" style="appropriations">Commissioner.</header-in-text></quote> under the heading <quote><header-in-text level="appropriations-major" style="appropriations">I.
