R. 3046</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210507">May 7, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="G000590">Mr. Green of Tennessee</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="B001305">Mr. Budd</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000614">Mr. Roy</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000190">Mr. Norman</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001212">Mr. Moore of Alabama</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="W000814">Mr. Weber of Texas</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000579">Mr. Gallagher</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="L000589">Mrs. Lesko</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HAS00">Committee on Armed Services</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To prohibit Federal service academies from providing training and education based on critical race theory.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HDB76B67B08934C1A85295C875AF263E8" style="OLC"><section id="H9BC01892AE6A4D86A683E29B1735536C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on training and education in critical race theory</header><subsection id="HA00E7B400E2943B2B1385C1B3176012E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text>No Federal funds may be obligated or expended to provide training or education based on critical race theory at a Federal service academy.</text></subsection><subsection id="H0DF4F5418BD140A7B7E68C26AD4E926A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Federal service academy defined</header><text>In this section, the term <quote>Federal service academy</quote> means the following:</text><paragraph id="H62B13D02FB5C49E8B2FC7132C1680BDC"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The United States Military Academy.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H09F542B2ECEA4750AE3120DB74CEAC39"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The United States Naval Academy.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H7914DAA6E34E40E7991CBA11F03C3F51"><enum>(3)</enum><text>The United States Air Force Academy.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H8EE52744A1ED4843A85172BA3CCB0F13"><enum>(4)</enum><text>The United States Coast Guard Academy.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H8D1340C639A74DF7B2BB820E906C6E6E"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The United States Merchant Marine Academy.</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
