R. 2958</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210504">May 4, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000630">Mr. Delgado</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="T000469">Mr. Tonko</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="S001196">Ms. Stefanik</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title 49, United States Code, to modify the definition of commercial motor vehicle, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HA15B8675F1A148CE94AB17C263626846" style="OLC"><section id="H093E1BA525E74A53A173449DB0E33D87" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>End the Limo Loophole Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="HC9F43F39026547B1BF8E0D30C76395AE" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Commercial driver's license requirement</header><subsection id="H399BB44718AB457EA95C0A811C88628D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 31301(4)(B) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>to transport at least 16 passengers including the driver</quote> and inserting <quote>or used to transport 9 or more passengers, including the driver</quote>.</text></subsection><subsection id="HCACF402FD85A4D50ACAE653BDEE31710"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Completion of rulemaking</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall complete the rulemaking process and issue a final rule with respect to the withdrawn rulemaking entitled <quote>State Inspection Programs for Passenger-Carrier Vehicles</quote>, published in the Federal Register on April 27, 2016 (81 Fed. Reg. 24769).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
