R. 2952</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210430">April 30, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="W000788">Ms. Williams of Georgia</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to require a certain percentage of funds appropriated for revolving fund capitalization grants be used for green projects, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H355D7E45A4874C318C028837092CD123" style="OLC"><section id="H2F6D3B5AD3464D1E97ACD86686EB68B4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Water Infrastructure Sustainability and Efficiency Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>WISE Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H89D9B25120CB45F697A6B8796B14F4AA" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Capitalization grants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 602(b) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/33/1382">33 U.S.C. 1382(c)</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="H40C99F8FFBB54F16AAB6A67B87B4C1FC"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (13), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDB58C459A0564E4681742848818E6143"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (14), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H3B6E5F9C52DF4812972071480714FF4D"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H55B58CA98E6B49E68C7B1BF58AEBAAF6" display-inline="no-display-inline"><paragraph id="H88AE8568F2814B1CB9B42DE237D5DCE3"><enum>(15)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">beginning on the date of enactment of this paragraph, to the extent there are sufficient eligible project applications and with respect to any funds for capitalization grants made available in any appropriations Act that the State receives, the State will use not less than 20 percent of such funds for projects to address green infrastructure, water or energy efficiency improvements, or other environmentally innovative activities.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
