R. 2788</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210422">April 22, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="L000588">Mr. Lamb</sponsor> (for himself and <cosponsor name-id="M000871">Mr. Mann</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HVR00">Committee on Veterans' Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title 38, United States Code, to eliminate the cap on full-time employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs who provide equal employment opportunity counseling.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HCA4F8F0396AE4BC085C8C6DFFC544233" style="OLC"><section id="HC2CCBD64CCC3441AA1DA97A74F82EA44" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>VA Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor Modernization Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H0A899BFC607D4B3680C88A1080FD1CE1" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Elimination of cap on full-time employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs who provide equal employment opportunity counseling</header><subsection id="H9FC55F6DDDF1406497A03B0643414CB9"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 516 of title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text><paragraph id="H5625442DE4FA421C85675E7CAEA4411A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking subsection (g); and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HF727B33D3BEC4876A9B8E937B11C5D6E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating subsection (h) as subsection (g).</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H3B357F683175402ABFD71BABC744164C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives a report regarding the effect of the amendment under subsection (a).</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
