R. 2426</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210408">April 8, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="R000606">Mr. Raskin</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To prohibit the transfer of a firearm to a person whose State license to purchase, own, or possess a firearm has been revoked, or a person who has been ordered by a State court to surrender all firearms.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H33FBB748B23A42DC886FEEACAA2E8F7D" style="OLC"><section id="HED148E67610D4F579D9B17DFC9624457" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>State Access to Firearms Evading Revocation Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H4D4CFA88ECE64557894208E65E368D0D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on transfer of firearm to person whose State license to purchase, own, or possess a firearm has been revoked or who has been ordered by a State court to surrender all firearms</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 922(d) of title 18, United States Code, is amended in the first sentence—</text><paragraph id="H98E306F5959949FD9503ACC175333BCF"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (8)(B)(ii), by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H5CF037537C2B400A8118704CB2B83E24"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (9), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H2769CF91FD6E4DB9875CD7565300D3C0"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="H032CEC81B5874B9F88D1FCB5992E5ED7" display-inline="no-display-inline"><paragraph id="H6C032D7555874E879924A3E06D8654B3"><enum>(10)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HDBA624AF22934CFEA9CFA70D489562CE"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">has had a license or permit, issued by a State in which the person has resided that allows the person to purchase, own, or possess a firearm, revoked by the State, and has not had the license or permit reinstated; or</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE293411960654859BBAA50278DD65166" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>has been ordered by a court of such a State to surrender all firearms owned or possessed by the person, and has not had the firearms lawfully returned.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
