R. 2314</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210401">April 1, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="G000595">Mr. Good of Virginia</sponsor> (for himself, <cosponsor name-id="W000814">Mr. Weber of Texas</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C000059">Mr. Calvert</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000609">Mr. Rutherford</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000565">Mr. Gosar</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001189">Mr. Austin Scott of Georgia</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001199">Mr. Mast</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="G000597">Mr. Garbarino</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="H001084">Ms. Herrell</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="K000392">Mr. Kustoff</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HJU00">Committee on the Judiciary</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To codify Executive Order 13809, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HC703CA5A6F0642E395ED53B24E888AB3" style="OLC"><section id="HE13DE6DC2A3045C58829677D746FD11D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Protect Our Police Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H83FBEAB2BD8E4565B55679EF02210AE8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Codification of Executive Order 13809</header><subsection id="HEB7020FFDC7343FC993D4EF6137BF839"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Executive Order 13809 (82 Fed. Reg. 41499; restoring State, Tribal, and local law enforcement’s access to life-saving equipment and resources), as in effect on August 28, 2017, shall have the force and effect of law, without modification, unless modified or authorized to be modified after the date of the enactment of this Act by a subsequent Act of Congress.</text></subsection><subsection id="H6DAC36B8AFC742F98AA1D4BDDDA89DE6"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation on subsequent Executive Orders</header><text>In accordance with subsection (a), the President may not reinstate the Executive Order revoked by Executive Order 13809 or establish any substantially similar Executive Order.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
