<section id="id4F5394640B594EB792BE550C66E6EEDC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>John Lewis Foster Youth Tuition Fairness Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section section-type="subsequent-section" id="id1B5CE79B5C834B579B11499222D6F8AC"><enum>2.</enum><header>In-State tuition rates for qualifying foster youth</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 477(b)(3) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/677">42 U.S.C. 677(b)(3)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
<quoted-block style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1B883A5C62664014A0747B892584996A">
<subparagraph id="idECAC1CE01ECD44A88EDA9ADCB070147E"><enum>(L)</enum><text>A certification by the chief executive officer of the State that the State will not charge youths eligible for services under the State program of any State under this section tuition for attendance at a public institution of higher education (as defined in section 101 of the Higher Education Act of 1965) or a postsecondary vocational institution (as defined in section 102(c) of such Act) in the State at a rate that is greater than the rate charged for residents of the State for such attendance.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> </legis-body> </bill>
