<official-title display="yes">To require a diagnostic test for COVID–19 for an inadmissible alien released from the custody of the United States Customs and Border Protection or the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="H4378FDCD26A54DB1BE19CCCB6BF16003" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Requiring Every Alien Receive a COVID–19 Test Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>REACT Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> <section id="H4D6B1713E9214B4688F265E3CA8ADD98"><enum>2.</enum><header>COVID–19 testing for certain aliens</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall administer a diagnostic test, and receive a negative result, for COVID–19 to an inadmissible alien who has entered the United States and—</text>
<paragraph id="H03C73228C6104C7FBE7862079D2DFC4A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is released from the custody of the United States Customs and Border Protection or the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement within 30 days of entry into the United States; or </text></paragraph> <paragraph id="H1DEB8AE8CEE0459F8FDA5627C4C32E4C"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is placed in an alternative to detention program within 30 days of entry into the United States. </text></paragraph></section>
