Russell National School Lunch Act to allow schools that participate in the school lunch program under such Act to serve whole milk.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HA3BBA63AE20C49FDB081C078381A4247" style="OLC"><section id="HBFF2DCEBE1634B6FBEB334B824B80FE9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2021</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H10EED652484542438C27A28C7DC30546"><enum>2.</enum><header>Whole milk permissible</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 9(a)(2)(A) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1758">42 U.S.C. 1758(a)(2)(A)</external-xref>) is amended to read as follows:</text><quoted-block style="OLC" id="HB4327A9ECFE2480D86ACA2F352D2613F" display-inline="no-display-inline"><subparagraph id="H96DE6961FE484D899C40D57FC107E832"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Lunches served by schools participating in the school lunch program under this chapter—</text><clause id="H6C5E36688F3B4DFDA26C58315ABFC395"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">shall offer students a variety of fluid milk;</text></clause><clause id="H24566FDD460C44ADB523427B7B62364D"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">may offer students flavored and unflavored whole, reduced-fat, low-fat and fat-free fluid milk and lactose-free fluid milk; and</text></clause><clause id="H2D0E20CC733C47EBA21592CA24B7B130"><enum>(iii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">shall provide a substitute for fluid milk for students whose disability restricts their diet, on receipt of a written statement from a licensed physician that identifies the disability that restricts the student’s diet and that specifies the substitute for fluid milk.</text></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
