Maloney of New York</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M000312">Mr. McGovern</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001160">Ms. Moore of Wisconsin</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000002">Mr. Nadler</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="N000147">Ms. Norton</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000614">Mr. Pappas</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="P000604">Mr. Payne</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="R000606">Mr. Raskin</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001205">Ms. Scanlon</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001145">Ms. Schakowsky</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="S001159">Ms. Strickland</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="V000081">Ms. Velázquez</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="W000822">Mrs. Watson Coleman</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000468">Ms. Titus</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="M001137">Mr. Meeks</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="T000469">Mr. Tonko</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="C001080">Ms. Chu</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HBA00">Committee on Financial Services</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend the Equal Credit Opportunity Act to require the collection of small business loan data related to LGBTQ-owned businesses.</official-title></form><legis-body id="HB53275B183A44630B229EA4E37EB44FC" style="OLC"><section id="HFBB435D01CD74F38B77049F3DEB08BC1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>LGBTQ Business Equal Credit Enforcement and Investment Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H8B44AB9165AE4592AEDFFD9DDDF33757"><enum>2.</enum><header>Small business loan data collection</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 704B of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/1691c-2">15 U.S.C. 1691c–2</external-xref>) is amended—</text><paragraph id="HA9E8E6F261CB4618892E20085C94410D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>LGBTQ-owned,</quote> after <quote>minority-owned,</quote> each place such term appears;</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HC27E431C6B5243F0B1304894C0C1207F"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e)(2)(G), by inserting <quote>(including sexual orientation and gender identity),</quote> after <quote>sex</quote>; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H0CBD82C8B22142EE9D309716E6DC7DC1"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (h), by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0A4C23EC170D4984A6AC7B11FF79E0BF" style="OLC"><paragraph id="H79F681E6FD704FD1B8B1B3F9B4713F01"><enum>(7)</enum><header>LGBTQ-owned business</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>LGBTQ-owned business</term> means a business—</text><subparagraph id="H36843A5291D241B9B8922F8AE5380CC5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>more than 50 percent of the ownership or control of which is held by 1 or more individuals self-identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer; and</text></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5A0D5BE9991B4E269A5B5F87F067D8B1"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">more than 50 percent of the net profit or loss of which accrues to 1 or more individuals self-identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section></legis-body></bill>
