R. 1356</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210225">February 25, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="M000317">Ms. Malliotakis</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To amend title 23, United States Code, to include additional eligible uses of revenue from tolls, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7593368BC2C34FF2B45402A40C045296" style="OLC"><section id="H8869F85DA77C4B5C89C1B3546D982988" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Resident Commuter Toll Relief Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="H04E17379AFDD401CA3C5C335069280C5"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limitations on use of revenues</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 129(a)(3)(A) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by striking clause (v) and inserting the following:</text><quoted-block style="USC" id="H5320BBB369EC4947861C5D51FB071DE7" display-inline="no-display-inline"><clause id="HF44D712FE2C348B6B3217CE2F0B3E096"><enum>(v)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">toll discounts, rebates, or credits—</text><subclause id="HD74FA4799C2C4D9285D302E76C53625D"><enum>(I)</enum><text>for individuals residing on either side of a tolled bridge located in an urbanized area, as determined by the Bureau of the Census, for the use of tolled bridges within such urbanized area; and</text></subclause><subclause id="HEDD4C39DFCBC42FEAD03449F6741B057"><enum>(II)</enum><text>from amounts consisting of the difference in revenue resulting from changing a toll facility from a one-way toll to a two-way toll.</text></subclause></clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
