R. 1203</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action display="yes"><action-date date="20210222">February 22, 2021</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="M001136">Mrs. McClain</sponsor> (for herself, <cosponsor name-id="H001084">Ms. Herrell</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="J000304">Mr. Jackson</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="C001087">Mr. Crawford</cosponsor>, <cosponsor name-id="L000564">Mr. Lamborn</cosponsor>, and <cosponsor name-id="C001054">Mr. Carl</cosponsor>) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HFA00">Committee on Foreign Affairs</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To limit the United States from rejoining the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H7EE3C3219F0C4F7C8D5CCA5B82FC90A2" style="OLC"><section id="H59184AAF9895458BA2CC2426AB878B56" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Iran Nuclear Verification Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section><section id="HE080B058DADE4C898C071CB01149A787"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limitation on United States from rejoining the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action</header><subsection id="H8146F41D3A3C4CBCB1003D4BBE29B4B7"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the United States may not become a party to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or to any other agreement with Iran relating to the nuclear program of Iran until the President certifies to Congress that nuclear inspectors of the United Nations—</text><paragraph id="H1FECEAC802D4471B8C2FFC4237013CB9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>are allowed full access to all of Iran’s nuclear facilities; and</text></paragraph><paragraph id="H91A50E43C2A24C7297652E26826B18A4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>have completed their comprehensive report relating to Iran’s nuclear facilities.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H8B43AAB041E140D5BF45E24B16BD1F4D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <term>Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action</term> means the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed at Vienna on July 14, 2015, by Iran and by France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and all implementing materials and agreements related to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
